A unique open concept layout that is cropping up more and more is a master suite with an open bathroom. Basically, there are no doors separating the bathroom and the bedroom. While the set-up isn’t for everyone, for some it offers a flow that they are more attracted to than the traditional set-up. It has a very minimalist appeal that is modern and loft-like. Some hotel rooms adopt this look to make the most of the space. If your master suite is small, going with an open concept can definitely help make the space feel more open and less cramped.
Take a look at these 10 master suites with open bathrooms; you may be surprised by how efficient and even design-savvy they can be.
A great reclaimed wood accent wall divides the bedroom and the bathroom in this space. Light from the windows fills the entire area, but each has its privacy.
Only glass divides the bathroom from the bedroom for a very modern, industrial look.
Curtains can be pulled together to block this elegant bathroom from the bedroom when needed, but otherwise makes the space feel much larger.
Nothing about this studio space is average, but the flow between one space to the next makes it feel large and open.
Here is another example of a beautiful accent wall dividing the two spaces. The angle ensures that there is plenty of privacy between them.
A panel of frosted glass provides a small visual divide between the bathroom and bedroom area that still promotes the open feel.
The glass divide between this bedroom and bathroom is less about privacy and more about style, creating a divide between the small spaces without taking up visual space.
Instead of dividing this attic/loft with walls, it was left open for the light and architecture to really shine.
The small bathroom could have easily felt closed in, but by leaving it open to the bedroom it created a more luxurious vibe.
This space is all about the easy flow and beauty of nature, so it made sense to leave the bathroom open to the bedroom with only an accent wall in between.
Would you ever consider doing an open concept layout for your master suite?
