The Lovely Look of L-Shaped Sofas

When you are decorating a living room, the most important piece of furniture is the sofa. Since it’s the largest piece in the room, it immediately draws your eye, so you want it to be as stylish as possible to be a worthy focal point. What’s just as important as its aesthetic quality, though, is its level of comfort.

L-shaped sofas are fantastic in that they offer both beauty and comfort. The right angle creates an inviting, intimate setting that exudes warmth and is perfect for entertaining. It also fits in a variety of different spaces, large or small. In a large space, it can help create a sense of coziness. In a small space, it takes up very little room while offering a lot of seating.

The best part is that L-shaped sofas come in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to suit any space. Check out these 10 inspiring rooms with L-shaped sofas to get some ideas.

The Versatile Style of a Settee

There are certain pieces of furniture that are incredibly versatile beyond their primary use. One of my favorites is a settee, which is a small sofa that typically seats only two people. While it looks great in its most obvious use in the living room, this small piece of furniture looks great in a variety of different spots throughout the home.

What’s also great about this adorable piece is how many different styles it comes in, from vintage looks to ultra modern. You can accent it like you would a normal sofa using throws or pillows to change it up for each season. It’s even perfect for an awkward space, such as a hall or foyer.

Check out these 10 stylish spaces to get several ideas for how to decorate with a settee.

Creating a Fresh Look with Slipcovers

Slipcovers are one of my favorite tricks to use in a space. They’re one of the easiest ways to give a room a totally fresh, new look. Old, ugly armchairs can be transformed into beautiful accents. Dining room chairs can get a new look for each season. Even your sofa can get a makeover.

Another great thing about slipcovers are how durable they are. If you have kids, slipcovers are easy to pop in the washing machine if they get any stains on them. When you get tired of them, you can always switch them out to something new. With all the different styles available now, you change up your home’s look whenever you’re feeling inspired.

These 10 spaces show the versatility and some of the many possibilities of decorating with slipcovers.
