Hotel Tour: The Crisp & Colorful Attwater Hotel

Some of the most charming and inspiring hotels in the world are boutique hotels. Because they are smaller, they put extra care into making the experience unique and the design something special.

The Attwater Hotel in Newport, Rhode Island is a boutique hotel that certainly fits that description. It captures the wonderful energy and history of the town it resides in. With brightly colored decor and an airy, contemporary vibe, you’ll never feel detached from the magic of the town you’re staying in, even while you’re indoors.

The design even has a whimsical nature that gives it its own personality. I love the unique mixtures of wood, patterns, color, and texture that can be found throughout this adorable hotel tour. Though the decor is very colorful, it has an understated quality to it that can both relax and refresh you.

Paris lays claim to some of the most unique hotels in the world, none of which are more unique than the La Maison Champs Élysées. This boutique hotel only has 17 rooms, a restaurant, and a smoking bar, but every square foot is worth marveling over as it is brimming with incredible design inspiration.

The palette is strictly black and white and uses contrast, mirrors, and reflective surfaces to create visual interest. The most captivating part of the hotel’s design, however, has to be the use of trompe l’oeil throughout the building. Whenever you spot one of these artistic features, it is like finding a special gem. They give the hotel so much charm and whimsical character.

Hotel Tour: Lake Austin Spa Resort

Tucked away in Texas Hill Country is a luxurious, charming retreat called the Lake Austin Spa Resort. Described as a “sanctuary for rest and renewal,” this beautiful resort is a perfect example of creating a stylish and relaxing atmosphere through design.

Each space captures a feeling of home. Soothing colors and pretty patterns blend together to create a comforting atmosphere. The style melds traditional themes with a rustic flair, all elegantly presented with chic touches. I challenge you not to smile and feel calmer as you tour some of the resort’s charming spaces.

Lake Austin Spa’s interior design offers some great lessons in creating a cheerful, welcoming space. I’ve included some tips on how you can capture this feeling in your own home. Enjoy…

Hotel Tour: Lake Austin Spa Resort | HomeandEventStyling.comFor a small sitting area, a poof such as this tufted leather one can be a nice space-saving alternative to a coffee table.

Hotel Tour: Lake Austin Spa Resort | HomeandEventStyling.comThe two round emerald accent tables are perfect for bridging a gap in a flexible sitting area such as this. They can easily be moved to serve either sitting area or can even work as extra seating themselves when needed.
