Luxury Hotel Tour: Lake Nona Wave

When it comes to embracing innovation and art, master-planned neighborhood Lake Nona is leading the way. It was the first neighborhood in the Orlando region to introduce autonomous transportation. Now it’s home to the most technologically advanced hotel in the world, The Lake Nona Wave Hotel. Join me as we take a tour through this luxury lifestyle hotel filled with marvelous design and a well-curated art collection.

About the Lake Nona Wave Hotel

The Living Room Bar at the Lake Nona Wave Hotel with eclectic furniture and built-in shelving.

The Lake Nona Hotel just opened in December of last year. It has 234 high-tech guest rooms including 16 artistic suites and two penthouse suites. The hotel was designed to be the Living Room of Lake Nona. The Living Room Bar in the interior of the hotel is a reflection of this intention. All throughout the hotel, you’ll see beautiful decor and stylish furniture.

Not only does the hotel’s design set it apart, but so does its next-level technology. The hotel has many technologically advanced features. For instance, it has the largest implementation of View Smart Windows. The windows tint using predictive intelligence in response to the sun and outdoor conditions. It is also the largest single-use facility of TOTO smart toilets and has voice-automated in-room controls.

The Exterior

The design of the Wave hotel is striking. Inspired by a wavelength of energy, the facade of curved glass gives the building the shape of a wave. This hotel is a stunning new addition to the Tavistock collection of iconic hotels.

Lake Nona Sculpture Garden

Just outside the hotel guests can enjoy a beautiful sculpture garden sprawled across 50,000 square feet of outdoor space. The garden features a collection of eight world-renowned sculptures from The Lewis Collection. It’s one of the largest private art collections in the world. The garden also includes four pieces by local artist JEFRË. For more about this artist, check out this post.

The garden is lush with a canopy of around 300 hand-selected palm trees. Color-changing light and lasers illuminate the trees for a full experience. In addition, playful furniture is scattered throughout.

Stylish Suites

The rooms at the Wave Hotel can be described as eclectic yet elevated. I love the unique furniture pieces selected for the rooms. The matching geometric shapes on the artwork and carpet create a cohesive look.

The Restaurants

The Wave hotel offers unique and innovative dining throughout. For flavorful dishes influenced by the Americas, try their restaurant Bacan. There you will enjoy a dramatic open-theater style kitchen. For a sophisticated Mediterranean-inspired menu with a twist of traditional Florida flavors, try the Haven Kitchen. Their botanical-inspired dining room is stunning! You can also enjoy small bites from the Living Room Bar and the Haven lounge.

Haven Pool

The Wave Hotel has the most colorful pool deck you ever did see. The bright colors and the stylish cabanas make it a perfect spot to sip on a cocktail underneath the Florida sun. Fresh salads and flavorful dishes are available to enjoy at the Haven pool.

Lake Nona Performance Club

Guests at the hotel can also get complimentary access to the Lake Nona Performance Club. It is a state-of-the-art fitness, sports, and integrative health center. There are over 150+ exercise machines utilizing the latest technology from TechnoGym. The Performance Club even features its own rock climbing center.

I hope you enjoyed this tour of the Lake Nona Wave Hotel. This gorgeous hotel can be enjoyed by out-of-towners and locals alike. Conveniently located just 6 minutes away from the Orlando International Airport in the center of Lake Nona Town center, it’s truly worth a visit.
