Selling Your Home? Staging Matters

I recently had the pleasure of chatting with my long time friend Christy Knox of Keller Williams Realty, for an episode on Megan Morris TV. She has been a realtor since 2013 and was recently promoted to Managing Partner and Team Leader at Keller Williams Realty Winter Park. In this episode, we talk about the convenience of hiring a realtor to sell your home and why home staging matters.

Selling Homes and Staging: A Beautiful Partnership

In my work as CEO and Founder of MHM Professional Staging, I have had the pleasure of partnering with Keller Williams many times over the years. My professional staging team has been helping homeowners and real estate agents sell homes faster and for more money for over a decade. Our tremendous experience in real estate and home design have taught us what sells a home.

Home staging involves styling homes for the purpose of selling them. The goal of staging is to tell buyers a story of what their life would be like in this new home. It involves packaging homes in a way that helps them appeal to a wide market. At MHM Professional Staging, we accentuate a home’s best features while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for buyers.

I love partnering with Keller Williams because their agents truly understand why home staging matters. In this episode of Megan Morris TV, Christy Knox agrees that home staging and beautiful listing photos are crucial in selling a home. She confirms our belief that buyers need to envision themselves in the home, which is best accomplished through staging. The Keller Wiliams team partners with MHM Professional Staging because they believe staging can help them get the most money for their clients—fast. Compared to unstaged homes, staged homes tend to spend half the amount of time on the market.

I am excited to continue partnering with Keller Williams in their new luxury division. As the new Managing Partner at Keller Williams Realty Winter Park, Cristy Knox will be handling a lot of luxury clientele. MHM Professional Staging has significant experience working with these types of clients.

The Convenience of an Agent

In this episode of Megan Morris TV, Christy and I also discuss the convenience of having a real estate agent. Many people don’t realize upfront all the details involved when it comes to effectively selling their home. An experienced agent can simplify the process. In addition, an agent already has a Rolodex of preferred vendors. This helps homeowners avoid the hassle of finding vendors they can trust.

Not only is a real estate agent convenient when selling a home, but they are also helpful when looking for a new home. When Christy helps buyers look for a home, she makes sure to ask the right questions. She not only makes sure the home is the perfect fit, but that the neighborhood also suites the buyer’s lifestyle. An experienced agent like Christy knows the neighborhoods and community well. They also consider commute and traffic patterns when selecting homes for their clients.

Be Our Guest Philosophy

Another reason why Keller Williams makes a wonderful partner to MHM Professional Staging is that we both take pride in having high standards of service. Christy brings up how they try to implement Disney’s “Be Our Guest” philosophy at Keller Williams. We do the same at MHM Professional Staging. It’s amazing to think about how much I’ve learned from Dinsey.
