Actress Amanda Seyfried has settled into a 1920s home in Catskills that is a beautiful mixture of old and new sensibilities. It captures a vibe of rustic modernism that is simple, casual, and full of natural beauty. Even though much of the decor is streamlined, it is blended with warm tones and rustic textures that make it feel cozy and inviting.
My favorite thing about this home tour is the easy, relaxed nature of the decor. It looks like something that has been curated over time rather than perfectly placed but still flows together beautifully and effortlessly. According to the article on Elle Decor, Amanda worked with designer Sarah Zames and asked for her to leave plenty of room for her to layer her own decor on top of it over time. It definitely has an easy vibe and openness to possibilities.
Enjoy this inspiring, eclectic home tour that is full of some great ideas.
Amanda Seyfried Home Tour
Unfinished wood walls, deep colors, and a mixture of patterns and textures give the living room an eclectic feel that is warm and cozy.
The bathroom is simple and chic with a black clawfoot tub, beadboard walls, and minimal decor. The vaulted ceiling makes the small space feel larger and the window fills it with some beautiful natural light.
The kitchen is modest, as well, with a simple geometric backsplash and industrial light fixtures.
The styling on the bed is casual, giving the bedroom a very relaxed, comfortable vibe. The orange ottoman at the foot of the bed is a nice punch of color that doesn’t take away from the relaxing nature of the space.
How gorgeous is all the wood in this space? It makes a statement all on its own, so keeping the rest of the decor with a streamlined, minimalist look was a great choice.
How charming is this corner? Love the tile.
In one of the spare bedrooms, wood floors are mixed with a geometric tile for an intriguing contrast of rustic and modern style.
The dining room is comfortable in its simplicity. The traditional furniture looks great against the more contemporary gray walls and industrial pendant lights.
Such a unique, inspiring home.
Warm regards,
