Designer Marc Jacobs is known for his unique and often outrageous style, but his home is a completely different matter. Surprisingly, it is very understated and even traditional in a lot of ways. The design is streamlined, the color palette neutral, and the furniture mostly modern mixed with some antiques.
What I love about this home is how luxurious, yet comfortable it seems. It looks like it has been curated over time with an interesting mix of old and new, and also balances elegance with an artsy flair. There is a lot of inspiration to be found within its walls.

Rich wood floors contrast beautifully with white walls while antique furniture gives the hallway character.
Clean lines are at work in the living room to give it a masculine, streamlined look.
Luxurious curtains soften the windows that fill the room with beautiful light and provide a wonderful view of the greenery outside.
Ornate details can be found throughout the home, like this gorgeous console table.
Another living area is clad in blonde wood paneling which goes with the creamy monochromatic look at work in the space that creates a luxurious vibe.
One large piece of art is the statement piece in the dining room while the table is a streamlined, modern style.
More artwork can be found outside in the form of sculptures, like this modern frog and lily pad. Surrounding the space are tons of beautiful greenery and flowers that make it feel like a secret garden.
An outdoor dining area feels charming and vintage.
The master closet is understated but luxurious with polished wood covering just about every inch of it.
Marble and high gloss black furniture serve up plenty of luxury in the master bathroom.
The modern, streamlined look continues through the bedrooms, like this one with creamy golds and more eye-catching artwork.
Such a beautiful and unique home!
