A style that has seen a rise in popularity recently is industrial decor. You’ll see a lot of industrial elements in farmhouse decor, which is trending thanks to HGTV’s Fixer Upper. Elements often associated with industrial decor are metal, exposed brick, concrete, reclaimed wood, exposed air ducts, and Edison light bulbs. The look is very casual and edgy, and typically has a masculine vibe.
One of my favorite things about industrial decor is its wonderful use of texture. Industrial decor embraces strong materials like metal, wood, brick, and concrete and doesn’t shy away their powerful presence. You also get a wonderful opportunity to create contrast. Placing soft textures or glamorous elements against them can create some really amazing results.
Similarly, you can mix industrial style with just about any other style for a unique blend. Industrial style adds a lot of character to any space, even in small doses.
Here are 10 inspiring examples of industrial decor that nailed the look.
