Lo Bosworth is known for her appearance on reality shows Laguna Beach and The Hills set in California, but she has recently moved across the country to New York City for a very different kind of lifestyle. She purchased an apartment in Manhattan’s Nolita neighborhood that is a lot smaller than what she was used to, but some smart design has made it feel open and comfortable.
She enlisted the help of interior designer Justin DiPiero from Homepolish to create a space that would fit her lifestyle. He took advantage of the apartment’s existing character in the form of wood floors, brick walls and large windows and chose decorative elements that would compliment the home’s character while ensuring it didn’t feel dark or cramped.
The result is a chic space that can entertain 14 people (amazing!). Enjoy this inspiring home tour from PopSugar.

Though the main living area is small, they have made the most of the space with lightweight furniture like the ghost coffee table and a bar area beneath the television that serves as a casual eat-in spot. The white walls bounce light and make it feel open so the dark brick creates a beautiful contrast without making the space feel cramped.
Two white poufs add some texture to the ghost coffee table while also serving as extra seating when needed. Two large pillows in the corner also serve as both a stylish element and extra seating.
Original wood floors display all of the wear and tear of the years that bring a ton of character to the space and contrast beautifully with the modern, streamlined furniture and white walls.
This casual eat-in area was a brilliant idea to make better use of the space. You can even use it as a buffet when entertaining. And of course, the exposed brick accent wall brings so much charm to the decor.
The kitchen is simple and white to make it feel as open and airy as possible despite its limited size.
In the bedroom, more exposed brick offers lots of character. One of the brick walls is painted black to make the design more dynamic.
A ghost console table is nearly invisible to take up very little visual weight while still providing a spot for a decorative vignette in the bedroom. The mirror reflects light and helps open up the space.
How cool is that black brick wall with bits of the original peeking through?
A formal dining room is kept simple with more lightweight furniture and tons of natural light pouring in from the wonderful window.
Such a great apartment!
