Actress Brigitte Bardot recently listed her French country house for $5.6 million and it’s exactly the kind of chateau in which you would imagine a screen legend to call home.
The stunning manor captures all the beauty and character of the French countryside with a stone facade, luscious green landscaping, and views that will take your breath away. Inside, there are eight bedrooms and a private library, and outside you’ll find two infinity pools, a private terrace, an entertaining pavilion, and a spacious loggia overlooking the Estérel Mountains and Cannes Bay.
Ms. Bardot purchased the mansion in 1958 and renovated it between 1998 and 2011. While the property has been updated, it still maintains its original charm and is a truly magnificent place of which we’re privileged to get a peek inside.
After you finish looking at this home tour courtesy of Architectural Digest, I’d be surprised if you aren’t itching for a trip to the French countryside…
Brigitte Bardot Home Tour
The exterior of the home is nearly as beautiful as the views that surround it. Here, you can see all three outdoor living areas.
The living room is elegant with soft drapes, pops of red, and a rustic touch of wood beams.
The kitchen and eat-in area are warm and inviting, capturing the old world charm and country flair.
In the master suite, a wall of windows brings the outdoors in and spread light throughout it.
There are plenty of places to entertain on the loggia which is spacious and comfortable.
The infinity pool area looks like it belongs at a luxurious, five-star hotel.
The grounds are immaculate and compliment the nature around them. In fact, they look like art.
Could you imagine calling a French country manor like this home? I know I could! No wonder Ms. Bardot chose it as her home for so many years.
Warm regards,
Megan
