Converted living spaces always produce some of the most interesting designs and have some of the most fascinating history. Such is the case with Andy and Kate Spade’s (of Kate Spade New York) home in Southampton, a former studio and school building in William Merritt Chase’s Southampton Art Colony, founded in 1892. Architect Steven Sclaroff helped them renovate the 9,000 square foot residence and preserve many of the home’s original details. It even includes the two large, original studios where Chase taught.
The decor is full of whimsy and quirkiness that makes it special. If you love Kate Spade’s designs, then you will recognize her unique flair throughout the home in the form of pattern and color. Enjoy this creative and inspiring home tour…
