Louis Poulsen is a Danish lighting manufacturer that was founded in 1874 and has produced some of the most recognizable lighting designs in the world. Two of their most popular designs are the PH-lamps and Artichoke Lamp, both designed by Poul Henningsen. Though designs from Louis Poulsen typically have a very modern vibe, they are incredibly versatile and compliment a number of styles. Their timeless look has kept them at the forefront of the design world for almost a century.
I have an Artichoke lamp and it’s one of my favorite pieces in my home. The beauty of Louis Poulsen light fixtures are that they provide a great aesthetic value while integrating right into the design of a space. Take a look at some of the inspiring examples from their collection…
A bronze Artichoke lamp fits perfectly into this rustic, industrial loft.
The white fixture above the table integrates seamlessly into the space.
Two Artichoke lamps bring some visual intrigue to this upstairs hallway.
The lights mimic beehives and fit right into the fun, retro vibe of this restaurant.
An eye-catching pattern is carved right into the lamp to add texture and interest to the space.
The simple fixture suits the minimalist look of the space and doesn’t detract from the wall art.
A hanging light like this one is perfect for over a desk to leave you more work space.
The modern flair of the Artichoke lamp creates an intriguing juxtaposition with the classic architecture.
A small metal fixture suits this butler’s pantry perfectly.
The sconces on this outdoor patio offer a streamlined look, hugging the wall and letting the focus be the view.
Louis Poulsen’s stylish and functional lighting has remained relevant through changing times and has proven itself as a leader in the lighting industry.
Warm regards,
Megan
