Some of my favorite spaces to decorate are kids rooms. You can let your imagination right wild to make it something special and uniquely suited to the child living there. It is a great opportunity to have fun with pattern, color, and artistic themes. It’s easy to feel the magic of being a child again when you decorate a kids room.
One of the places on which you can get most creative is the walls. They are big, blank canvases that are just waiting for your imagination to bring them to life. In a kids room, this is even more true. There are so many fun ideas for kids room wall treatments out there. I gathered 10 of my favorites to inspire you here. Enjoy!
Black and white stars are a chic option for this kids room. They are gender neutral yet whimsical.
Painting an accent wall in chalkboard is an excellent choice for a kids room, so they can be free to draw on the wall as much as they please.
Chevron is a fun, funky pattern that is perfect for a little girl’s room and can stay with them for years.
Though this isn’t technically a “wall” treatment, the ceiling can have just as much impact. In this room, it is made to look like a circus tent.
The walls in this playroom are super creative and playful, especially the adorable outlines around the creative lighting.
A wallpaper like this bright blue forest scene has a whimsical vibe that is also chic enough to stick around if your child gets upgraded to a bigger space.
A mural of a map of the world is the perfect choice for a budding traveler. (And how adorable is that airplane bed?)
A beautiful tree mural makes this play corner extra special and even leads up to a “tree house.”
Stripes are classic but playful, making them perfect for a kids room or corner of the house dedicated to play time.
Wood planks over blue walls give this boys room a rustic vibe that can stick around as he gets older.
When decorating a kids space, always remember two things: be creative and have fun!
Warm regards,
Megan
