One of the most prevalent designers today is one of HGTV’s finest, Sarah Richardson. She has had several of her own TV shows on HGTV, including Real Potential and Design Inc., as well as books and her own product lines, including furniture and fabric lines. If you’ve ever been on Pinterest, you have seen her designs pinned thousands of times. In fact, you have probably seen several of her rooms more than once. Sarah has a style that easygoing but very memorable in its elegance and brilliant use of pattern and texture.
Her designs are truly inspiring, so I’ve gathered a few of my favorites to shine a light on this great interior designer.
Flowing curtains and pink accent add a feminine softness to this chic dining room.
This rosy, country chic space combines patterns and varying shades to create depth. The blue floor is a bold touch that pays off, playing well with the dominant reds.
Crisp white and pops of vivid blues create a coastal masterpiece in this refreshing living room.
Cobalt blue stuns against white and gold accents for an bold but wonderfully chic palette.
One of Sarah’s best skills is her clever mixture of patterns, as seen here where several different patterns manage to compliment each other.
Who knew something as simple as framing out a white section of wall behind the bed would supply so much depth? It makes the bed create that much more of a statement.
A monochrome palette can be elegant and beautiful, as exemplified in this neutral cottage-style living room.
A tufted banquette and glass table are glamorous in this space, while the mobile in place of a chandelier adds a touch of whimsy.
Spring colors bring cheer to this living room in bright patterns and two complimenting accent walls.
Though a lot of Sarah’s designs are feminine, she shows her versatility with this masculine dining room that as her stylish stamp on it.
Stay tuned for more posts highlighting some of my favorite designers.
Warm regards,
Megan
