10 Chic Built-In Banquette Ideas

Built-in banquettes are one of my favorite looks for a breakfast nook or even a dining room. They are great space-savers because they offer more seating in less space and can even provide extra storage if you build drawers or shelving into the bottom of them. You can also put shelving above the seating to maximize the space even more.

Besides just being incredibly functional, built-in banquettes also look super stylish. They have been around for a long time, so this isn’t a trend that is going to go away anytime soon. Being so versatile, they work in any style of home from traditional and contemporary to rustic and shabby chic. The possibilities are endless.

Here are 10 built-in banquette ideas that bring charm, character, and plenty of function to their space.

10 Glamorous Bedroom Ideas That Shine

What is it that makes a space glamorous? There are a lot of ways the word can be interpreted, especially in interior decorating, but the one thing that is constant in every version is an indulgence in luxury and beauty.

One of my favorite rooms in the house to see embracr a glamorous look is the bedroom. Bedrooms are meant to be private retreats where you go to feel relaxed and rejuvenated, so glamour is very suited to that concept. Though it is an inherently feminine style, not all glamorous bedroom ideas have to be strictly for women. There are ways to interpret the style with a masculine edge so it can be gender neutral.

This style is so exquisite and versatile. Here are 10 glamorous bedroom ideas to inspire you.

Chic Inspiration for Decorating with Animal Print

Prints and textures are a wonderful way to bring some flair to a space. Even just one pattern on a small accent, such as an ottoman or lamp shade, can make a space feel more dynamic. You don’t have to use a lot to make an impact.

One of the most popular choice of pattern is animal print. The cool thing about animal prints are that they are very versatile and are naturally beautiful. They work in a subtle, neutral space or can take on a very bold, colorful flavor. It’s all in the print you choose, the color of the print, and how much of it you use.

When used right, animal print can look very chic and stylish in a classic way. To inspire you, here are 10 rooms that did animal print decor the right way.

Mid-Season Decor: Transitioning from Winter to Spring

Decorating for the seasons is a lot of fun. I always love to change out certain accents in my home to reflect the season so my family and I can enjoy it fully, whatever the season may be. However, there is an awkward period between winter and spring where it doesn’t fully feel like winter anymore, but spring has yet to come. There is an easy way to bridge this gap.

The trick is to bring in some subtle hints of spring while still maintaining a primarily winter feel. You can do this with muted colors and some spring touches, like flowers and greenery. Incorporating some small spring accents will help you transition your home between the seasons in a way that feels natural.

Here are 10 winter to spring decor ideas to inspire you:

Hotel Tour: The Colorful Summercamp Hotel in Martha’s Vineyard

Sometimes, you stumble upon a little gem that is surprising and full of inspiration. That’s exactly how I felt when I discovered the Summercamp Hotel in Martha’s Vineyard.

Taking the place of the former Wesley Hotel, the building is a stunning Victorian structure built in 1879 and located in the charming town of Oak Bluffs. The brand new interior captures every bit of that charm through colorful patterns, artistic surprises, and fun elements that come together to create a unique and whimsical experience.

Boston-based design firm Rachel Reider Interiors redesigned the hotel with the aim of capturing the spirit of summer camps with a chic, upscale flair. Bits of nostalgia mix with contemporary elements that make parents and kids alike feel right at home.

Elle Decor took us on a tour with beautiful photographs of the Summercamp Hotel that are sure to fill you with inspiration.
