Hotel Tour: The Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs, New York

The Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs, New York is proving itself to be one of the most unique luxury destinations in the charming resort town. Renovated from an 1877 building, the Adelphi took five years and $30 million to create from the shell of the old building. Though much of the structure had to be rebuilt due to the damage it sustained over the years, the hotel’s interior designer, Glen Coben, made sure to preserve as much of the historic property’s character as possible while infusing it with modern creature comforts.

The result is a stunning hotel filled with history, luxurious touches, and interesting details. From the mahogany staircase and custom wallpaper to the tufted-leather headboards and freestanding tubs, this hotel doesn’t miss a detail.

Black showers aren’t common but they look incredibly stylish. You can skip the shower curtain and let it make a statement all on its own. What’s also great about a black shower is that it’s surprisingly versatile, suiting a number of styles from masculine and minimalist to glamorous and luxurious. There are a lot of ways to make it your own.
