Metallic Wall Accents That Captivate

In recent years, metallic accents have become more and more prominent in design – not just in interior design, but in fashion, as well. While it remains to be seen whether the trend will live on, it draws on some timeless elements like gold and silver that have remained in style for centuries. It’s all in how you use metallics that determines how classic or trendy it is.

One of the boldest ways you can use metallic accents is by putting it on the wall. Metallic wallpaper has been in style for a while now and there are a myriad of colors and patterns to choose from. They work great on an accent wall, such as in an entryway, or in a small space such as a powder room. But you can also use them in grander ways if it suits your style, such as wrapping an entire dining room in it.

Here are 10 metallic wall accent ideas to show you the many ways this look bring glamour and beauty to a space:

10 Bathrooms That Embrace the Outdoors

The bathroom is one area in the home that should always feel like a retreat. It should be relaxing, peaceful, and help you start your day and unwind at the end of it. When I think of this kind of relaxation and rejuvanation, I often think of nature.

There are a lot of ways to incorporate nature into your bathroom, but one of the most effective is, of course, to open your bathroom right up to nature itself. A beautiful view always makes any area of a home more appealing. In the bathroom, it’s a great way to capture that spa-like vibe and help you shake off your stress.

The view doesn’t have to be of something particularly awe-inspiring or majestic, either. Even some flowers or greenery by a window can have a wonderful effect on the space and bring some more beauty to your bathroom.

Here are 10 inspiring bathrooms that embraced the outdoors:

Inspiration for a Symmetrical Living Room

In decorating, one of the strongest elements you can use to create a visually compelling space is symmetry. Symmetrical design means that everything is perfectly balanced on either side of the room. It’s not always possible to create depending on the room itself, but when it is possible, the results can be stunning.

The living room is one of the best rooms in which to use a symmetrical arrangement. If you aren’t sure about how to arrange your furniture in the space, a symmetrical set-up could solve that problem. It’s relatively easy to create as long as you focus on balancing each side of the room in terms of color, size, shape, and pattern.

Here are 10 examples of symmetrical living rooms that captured this look beautifully in a variety of different ways, along with some tips on how to create the look in your own home.

10 Adorable Nurseries Decorated with Black

One color that is not often associated with nursery decor is black. Normally, people think of light, bright colors for nurseries, something cheerful and whimsical, but you may be surprised how beautiful black nurseries can be.

Black is one of my favorite colors to use in design. It is timeless, versatile, and gender neutral. The dark, rich tone of it can actually work really well in a nursery when used the right way. It can be elegant, modern, and yes – even whimsical. It all depends on what you pair it with.

Some of my favorite nursery decor has featured black as a main element. Here are 10 black nursery ideas that prove it can look just as stylish in this space as an other.

Home Tour: Kim Kardashian’s Mexican Vacation Villa

If there’s one thing for certain, it’s that the Kardashians know how to vacation in style. That’s why it should come as no surprise that the vacation villa Kim Kardashian shared with her son and daughter on a recent trip to Mexico is nothing short of breathtaking.

The Punta Mita vacation rental, known as Casa Aramara, is a 40,000 square foot estate that houses 12 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms and overlooks incredible views of the sea, to which it has its own private beach. The interior is just as beautiful as the exterior with white walls, natural textures, and blue accents that make it feel fresh and chic.

The home is available to rent for $16,000 a night but if your budget is a little more modest than Ms. Kardashian’s, you can enjoy the tour that My Domaine provided that gives you a taste of the property’s beauty.
