Home Tour: Tyra Banks’ “Home in the Sky” in Manhattan

Supermodel Tyra Banks owns two properties in California, but her Manhattan home was just put on the market for a cool $17 million. The apartment in the Battery City Park neighborhood features incredible views that make you feel like you’re up in the clouds. Floor-to-ceiling windows give the effect throughout the entire apartment, especially the bedrooms, where you can wake up to the water and skyline.

The interior is just as impressive. The home is open and airy with plenty of light thanks to the myriad windows. Wood is used throughout the entire home to give it a warm, natural appeal while pops of color give it flavor and personality. It’s a great place for entertaining with plenty of space for guests, including three guest suites. The entire apartment is 7,000 square feet and includes full, private quarters for staff.

There is also a personal gym, office, and a salon/barber shop so everything you need is right at your fingertips.

Making a Bathroom Look More Upscale with Framed Mirrors

One of the quickest and easiest changes you can make in a bathroom to give it more character is the mirror. Most homes come with a standard mirror, which is basically a large piece of glass with no customization. Because the mirror is so functional and ubiquitous, it’s easy to not think of it as an important design element, but it definitely can be.

Framed bathroom mirrors instantly elevate the style in the space. It’s a simple switch that makes a world of difference on how customized and upscale the decor feels. What’s also great about this element is how versatile it can be. You can use it to add a touch of glamour, rustic texture, industrial style, or even a pop of color. There are a lot of options to play with. You can even do a DIY version by framing out the existing mirror that’s already in your bathroom.

Here are 10 examples of bathrooms with framed mirrors to inspire you and give you some creative ideas for your own space.
